What I Do

I’m Regula Buob and my long-term goal is to help shape a future generation of leaders that change society both with their ideas and with their great spirit.

My job is guiding companies and individuals through the transition from startup to scaleup and eventually to international operations.

By asking the important questions, by calling things as they are, and by keeping the bigger picture in mind, I accompany young CEOs on their steep learning curve. Often I will add a puzzle piece from my treasure chest – my invaluable network, built over 20 years in this field.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

CEOs are so busy with outside tasks that they forget to look inward, even though self-awareness is the basis of good leadership. This needs to change! This course is also great way to tap into each other’s thinking and leading style.

The 10-session Leadership Program works with CEOs in a group setting to strengthen leaders from the inside and equip them with peer-proven tools to emerge as stronger and healthier leaders. To do this as a group with high potential leaders is probably the best thing I have ever done in my coaching career!

Who is this for

Startup entrepreneurs (ideally CEOs) of a Swiss growth stage company (Series A upwards, 20 or more employees). Willingness to be vulnerable, open, speak about yourself and hold space for others, committed to confidentiality.

Content

At the start you provide us with a short description of three areas you would like to see improvement in. Every meeting will contain short inputs on set topics by the coach, and structured time for sharing and reflecting on real-life situations and homework. We want to hold ourselves accountable for putting in the work, tracking changes and progress and giving each other valuable feedback.

Group size

6-8 people plus coach(es)

When do we meet?

The group comes together once a month for 3 hours at a time over the course of 10 months. You need to be on time and you cannot miss more than 2 sessions.

Where do we meet

We will meet via Zoom. If time permits, we might meet, for example also outdoors, a few times.

Conditions for participation

Every participant goes through a 1.5 hour assessment with Regula Buob to ensure a good match when it comes to expectations and commitment. CEOs who’ve already been through an assessment with Regula will undergo a free 30 minute interview to clarify certain points.

Privacy

Every participant will sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure confidentiality.

The Teamleader Leadership Program enables team leaders of startups to develop specific leadership skills and apply them directly in business. The participants are given the tools they need to become personally stable and strong leaders who act as role models in the team and drive the successful development of the company long-term. The program starts with the analysis of the leadership role, develops the understanding of leadership and provides practical tools. The discussion takes place in a practice-oriented manner in the group, using the participants‘ real-life examples. More information will follow soon, please contact me if you’re interested!

Most startups face high pressure during their growth phase. With our leadership growth workshop, we support startup leaders and their teams not only to scale up their business, but also to scale sustainably as individuals along with their companies. We help new team leaders and the future management team to become strong and resilient role models and leaders. With five half-day workshops over the course of two months (or other blocks), we will tackle the specific challenges of the company and combine state-of-the-art leadership training with down-to-earth group work. With this program, we connect young entrepreneurial talent with promising startups. By taking part in this internship program, young and talented people will get the opportunity to work in a high performing startup and make the unique experience of contributing to dedicated entrepreneurial team work. The interns and startups will be supported by experienced talent development coaches during the process. Workshops and social events will be organized to enhance networking and community building. This program is for talented young people from all professional backgrounds with an entrepreneurial mindset and high motivation. It’s also for startups, who are looking for young talent and are willing to invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Swiss startups often scale slower than their international competitors. Some reasons are that on the one hand, there is a lack of seed and venture capital; on the other hand, access to large companies and markets is limited. With customized Launching Pad trips to hot spots all over the world, high-performing startups get the opportunity to explore interesting areas/markets and make connections with relevant business contacts. Participants will be trained to enter the market and networking will be encouraged locally and within the group.
